News / iSchool alum and student are featured in the Pitt Magazine


The University of Pittsburgh featured Jerome White Jr. (BSIS, 2003) and Alesha Shumar (MLIS student) in the Fall 2008 edition of Pitt Magazine.

Jerome has made headlines across the world for his performances of Enka, one of Japan’s oldest forms of music. Read his story here.

Alesha was one of 28 graduate and undergraduate students to undertake the processing and preservation of documents from the Allegheny County Coroner Case Files project, a project managed by Pitt’s Archive Service Center and funded by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum  Commission.
