After successfully earning his BSIS degree in 2008, James decided to take on yet another challenge -- to earn his Master of Science in Telecommunications Degree here at the iSchool. This amazing student was selected for the prestigious Federal Cyber Service: Scholarship for Service Program.

Funded by the National Science Foundation, Scholarship for Service (SFS) is a unique program designed to increase and strengthen the cadre of federal information assurance professionals that protect the government’s critical information infrastructure. This program provides graduate scholarships that fund tuition, books and fees, conference travel, a paid federal summer internship and an annual stipend. The Federal Cyber Service: Scholarship for Service program at the iSchool is under the direction of Dr. James Joshi, who heads our Laboratory for Education and Research on Security Assured Information Systems.
