School of Information Sciences - Telecommunications and Networking Program

Welcome

Our program is designed to give you the technical skills, as well as the theoretical knowledge, you need to build a successful career in this dynamic field.

At the iSchool, you’ll find challenging classes in leading edge topics such as application development for mobile devices, intelligent networks, distributed multi-media systems, and network security and cryptography. You’ll have the opportunity to take courses and do research with our world class faculty, many of whom conduct research projects funded by prestigious organizations such as the National Science Foundation. We believe that research and teaching must be closely linked, so that future researchers and teachers will gain critical experience in development and research techniques.  Whether you’re in our Master’s or PhD programs, you can participate in research opportunities.

Graduates with a Master’s in Telecommunications are much sought after by industry, government, health care, education, and the non-profit sector. Employers are looking for professionals who can design, build, and manage complex, multi-vendor telecommunications systems.

PhDs from our program are highly sought-after by major research universities, research and development organizations, and international government agencies.

We hope that you will consider joining us at the iSchool, where our multi-disciplinary faculty and diverse student body will challenge you and help you to achieve your educational and career goals. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’ll be happy to help you discover more about the Telecommunications and Networking Program.
