Reactivating your account after time off in order to register for classes

If you were gone for one calendar year or less:

  1. Please email registration@sis.pitt.edu to request that your Pitt email ID be reactivated. Please try to do this well in advance of your return (preferably several months before the start of your return semester). The registration folks will work with the tech folks to make this happen and will notify you when your account is active again.
  2. After being notified that your account has been reactivated, follow the online registration instructions.

If you were gone for more than one calendar year:

  1. Please follow the instructions listed on the leave of absence page.

If you dropped out of your classes during the first week or two of your very first semester at Pitt:

  1. Email our admissions coordinator to see if your admission needs to be reactivated.
  2. Please email registration@sis.pitt.edu to request that your Pitt email ID be reactivated. Please try to do this well in advance of your return (preferably several months before the start of your return semester). The registration folks will work with the tech folks to make this happen and will notify you when your account is active again.
  3. After being notified that your account has been reactivated, follow the online registration instructions.
