Martin Weiss, Associate Dean and Associate Professor at the iSchool, will present the keynote address at the RadComms 2011 Conference. The Conference, the fifth annual event examining spectrum management, will take place May 26-27 in Sydney, Australia. The conference covers the latest developments in spectrum use and management; it attracts both professionals and academics in the radiocommunications field. Dr. Weiss is noted as one of the leading researchers and thinkers on spectrum use and the policy implications of spectrum technologies. Weiss serves as the co-Chair of the Policy Committee for the IEEE’s DySpan Conference. His speech will delve into the practical and policy challenges that will most likely face spectrum management in the near future as cognitive radio systems and dynamic spectrum access techniques evolve even further.
