News / 2011 Sara Fine Institute Lecture slated for April 21 featuring Michael Christie
The Sara Fine Institute welcomes Michael Christie, Professor of Education at Charles Darwin University, for the 2011 SFI Lecture — "Teaching from Country: Stories and Place in a Postcolonial Australian Aboriginal Pedagogy." Christie, an indigenous language expert in Australia, will discuss his research on bringing together indigenous and non-indigenous knowledge systems to address education and social issues including identity and medical interpreting. The Lecture will take place at 3:00 pm on April 21st in Ballroom B at the University Club (123 University Place).
