The Sara Fine Institute welcomes Michael Christie, Professor of Education at Charles Darwin University, for the 2011 SFI Lecture — "Teaching from Country: Stories and Place in a Postcolonial Australian Aboriginal Pedagogy." Christie, an indigenous language expert in Australia, will discuss his research on bringing together indigenous and non-indigenous knowledge systems to address education and social issues including identity and medical interpreting. The Lecture will take place at 3:00 pm on April 21st in Ballroom B at the University Club (123 University Place). The Sara Fine Institute and the 2011 Lecture are hosted by the School of Information Sciences at Pitt. Learn more.
