1The iSchool congratulates Legacy Laureate Thomas Reinsel (BSIS ’90 and MST ’91).  Mr. Reinsel, the founder and CEO of RippleRock (a technology company in the Application Lifecycle Management space) is being honored as part of Pitt’s Legacy Laureate program, which was launched in 2000 to honor University of Pittsburgh alumni for their outstanding personal and professional accomplishments.

Since 1992, Thomas Reinsel has maintained a leadership position as a strategist and visionary in the IT management industry.  Mr. Reinsel is the founder and the Chief Executive Officer of RippleRock, a technology company in the Application Lifecycle Management space. Mr. Reinsel founded, organically grew, and sold a $30M technology consulting firm (Pepperweed) that achieved the top position with Hewlett-Packard as a software VAR in North America. Pepperweed is one of the founding members of the itSMF, a leading industry organization focusing on the promotion of IT Service Management. Mr. Reinsel was a founding member  of the HP worldwide users group; in 2005 and 2006, he served as the President of the user organization and gave the opening keynote at the international conference. Recently, Mr. Reinsel worked for Sewickley Oak Capital, advising early stage start-up  companies about financing, strategy, and temporary executive management.
