Marek Druzdzel, Associate Professor, was awarded a Fulbright Scholar grant to lecture on Decision Support Systems and Basic Science Education at Bialystok Technical University in Bialystok, Poland. The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program of the U.S. government and its grants are considered to be quite prestigious for the scholars involved. The Program has as its core mission “to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.” Since its founding in 1946, the Fulbright Scholars Program has provided almost 300,000 participants—chosen for their academic merit and leadership potential — with the chance to study and do research across borders.
