    Mandy Knapp, a 2007 graduate of the MLIS program here at the iSchool, was honored as a "2010 Mover & Shaker 2010" by Library Journal Magazine. She was recognized for her grass-roots and technology-based efforts to save Ohio libraries from budget cuts. More information is available here.

    Richard Cox is an inaugural recipient of the Dick Thornburgh Academic Support Grant

    PITTSBURGH-The University of Pittsburgh's Dick Thornburgh Forum for Law and Public Policy has announced the inaugural recipients of the Dick Thornburgh Academic Support Grant. The grant has been designed to support inclusion of the Dick Thornburgh Archive Collection, a rich resource of information on many significant public events in Pennsylvania and U.S. history, into course instruction across Pitt's campus.     Wireless PittNet, the University of Pittsburgh’s campus-wide wireless service, will be available in the School of Information Sciences as of February 17. Wireless PittNet provides a fast, secure, and easy-to-use wireless service.
    For instructions on connecting to Wireless PittNet, visit the Wireless PittNet page at technology.pitt.edu or refer to the Wireless PittNet help sheets
    Internet access for guests on official University business is available as a separate service and requires advance online registration.  A University faculty or staff member must approve a guest’s request for access.
