News / Brusilovsky Keynote Speaker at AH 2008

 

Peter Brusilovsky, Associate Professor here at the iSchool, will be a keynote speaker at the 5th International Conference on Adapative Hypermedia and Adaptive Web-Based Systems.  This conference will take place July 29-August 1 in Hannover, Germany.  Dr. Brusilovsky will discuss "Adaptive Navigation Support for Open Corpus Hypermedia Systems."

The Adaptive Hypermedia conferences are the major forums for the scientific exchange and presentation of research on adaptive hypermedia and adaptive Web-based systems.  The 2008 conference will look at adaptive hypermedia systems and techniques, web personalization, adaptive information filtering and retrieval, intelligent tutoring systems, the semantic Web, applications of adaptive hypermedia, and empirical studies of adaptive hypermedia and Web systems.

Brusilovsky has been working in the field of adaptive hypermedia and adaptive Web-based systems for more than 20 years. He has published numerous papers and edited several books on adaptive hypermedia and the adaptive Web. Brusilovsky is a board member of several journals including User Modeling and User Adapted Interaction, ACM Transactions on the Web, and Web Intelligence and Agent Systems. He is also the current President of User Modeling Inc., a professional association of user modeling researchers.  He will present his keynote lecture at AH 2008 on July 30 at 9:00 am.  For more information about the conference, please visit www.ah2008.org.
