Spectrum Scholarship - January 12, 2007 |
||
The deadline for applying for the Spectrum Doctoral Fellowship program is January 12, 2007, for all students beginning their PhD studies in the Fall of 2007. This program is made possible by a $1 million grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) to the School of Information Sciences and the American Library Association (ALA). This program will recruit and provide tuition support and stipends to 10 full-time PhD students in Library and Information Science for study at one of the participating institutions, including SIS. SIS Faculty member Toni Carbo serves as Director of the Spectrum Doctoral Fellowship Program and can be reached at tcarbo@mail.sis.pitt.edu. Interested students should submit all application materials for the Fellowship Program – as well as those for admission to the School of Information Sciences – by January 12, 2007. Applications must include an electronic application, official transcripts from all educational institutions attended, a personal statement, curriculum vitae, and three letters of recommendation. The winners of the Fellowships will be announced on or before May 15, 2007. |
