“The Pitt Crew!”

A photo finish for the Pitt CrewThe checkered flag was waving wildly in Chicago as SIS’s Book Cart Drill Team pulled in for a Fifth Place Finish! Our congratulations go out to the members of “The Pitt Crew,” SIS’s entry into the inaugural Book Cart Drill Team World Championships at the recent American Library Association’s Annual Conference. The Championships consisted of 15 teams from around the country, performing 4-minute choreographed routines involving book carts and set to music. Our team, appropriately named “The Pitt Crew,” decorated their carts as race cars, donned pitt crew gear, and performed to car-themed hits such as “Baby You Can Drive My Car.” These nine DLIS students were definitely in the pole position based on their creativity, style, and energy. You can enjoy the excitement by watching the video. Congratulations to “The Pitt Crew:” Elizabeth Eynon, Emily Forwood, Sarah Joynt, Jessica Laganosky, Amanda Lindsay, Emily Moellman (also the group’s choreographer), Kara Robertson, Sharon Stillwagon, Lori Prince (who also designed the costumes) and their advisor, Sue Alman.
