The Importance of Visual Thinking
Description: This session is offered by Samvith Srinivas, an alumn of our doctoral program in Information Science who now works at Maya Design, and Greg Gibilisco, a Senior Visual Designer at Maya Design. The topic is visual thinking as exemplified through sketching. Sketching is fundamental to the cognitive process of design. It is a powerful tool to advance thinking and collaboration. Yet, it is a skill that is not encouraged outside of the visual arts. Join Samvith and Greg as they share some insight into how they leverage visual thinking to design powerful, yet intuitive products, services and experiences.
