School of Information Sciences

Research Interest Groups

The School of Information Sciences has several research interest groups, which include faculty from across the School's programs in order to leverage the multidisciplinary nature of our community. Faculty and students work together to craft the agenda for their research interest groups, determine the research projects to be undertaken, and seek funding to support the projects. These groups, formed under the aegis of the Research Advisory Council, will provide future research directions for the School of Information Sciences.

The Leading Edge

Because Pitt is one of the top public research institutions in the world, SIS students work with faculty members who perform at the leading edges of their disciplines.
