Kim Vo
BSIS
In Spring 2010, Kim was admitted to the undergraduate program here at the iSchool. Since entering the BSIS program, she has taken a variety of IS classes including: Database Management, Information Systems Design, and Human Factors in Systems Design.
Kim has also contributed greatly to the community identity of the iSchool. BSIS majors Kim and Brian Smith are officers with the undergraduate student organization, PRISM. The Pitt Representation of Information Science Majors (PRISM) represents the body of IS undergraduates. It is an active organization that provides information about this course of study and the Information Professions through workshops, lectures, and presentations. Undergrads are given a chance to develop leadership abilities and to show initiative to potential employers. Being a part of PRISM lays the foundations for possible awards and scholarships for students who exhibit academic integrity and leadership qualities. PRISM is an excellent way to participate in the university community; and to prepare for a career in the Information Professions.
