Publishing Pittsburgh Pictures Lecture Series
A lecture series hosted by the iSchool and the Student Chapter of the Society of American Archivists
Published authors of heavily illustrated works dealing with Pittsburgh explore the challenges of locating suitable images, assembling the text, negotiating permissions and other intellectual property issues. They will also discuss identifying and working with a publisher through all the phases of production and distribution. In the case of the works that were associated with exhibitions, we'll ask the authors to comment on the relationship between the book and the exhibit, both onsite and online.
All lectures in this series will be held in Room 501 of the Information Science Building, 135 North Bellefield Avenue. Each event will include an informal coffee with the speaker, beginning at 10:30 AM. The lecture will take place from 11:00 AM - noon.
