Leanne Bowler

Associate Professor

Leanne Bowler joined the iSchool faculty in 2008. Dr. Bowler earned her doctorate at McGill University's Graduate School of Library and Information Studies; her dissertation investigated the metacognitive knowledge of adolescent students during the information search process. She teaches courses in the Services to Children and Young Adult specialization.

Her research interests include children’s and young adult information behavior, multiple literacies, multi-modal texts, design-based research (design methodology), human-computer interaction and children/youth, health information and children/youth.
