iFest 2015 Schedule

Mobile Apps for Healthy Lives Challenge

Monday, February 2, 2015 | 12:00PM – 3:00PM | Open to all iSchool students | Limited to 6 teams

Work in teams of 2 or 3 over a weekend to create a design concept of a mobile app and then present your idea. Design challenge requirements will be released January 30 at 2:00pm. Presentations will be held February 2. Registration is required. Prize: $200 per teammate.

Poster Competition

Tuesday, February 3, 2015 | 4:00PM – 6:00PM | Open to all iSchool students

The refreshed poster competition is open to all iSchool students who want to present a proposed or completed research project by themselves or on a team of two. Prizes: 1st Place, $250 | 2nd Place, $150 | Audience Choice, $100

Information Executive Roundtable

Wednesday, February 4, 2015 | 12:00PM – 2:00PM | By invitation only

Information executives will meet over lunch with a select group of top-performing students to discuss employment opportunities, strategies for career preparation, practical work experience, and the soft skills necessary for success as a leader in the information field. This event is an excellent opportunity for employers and students to network in an informal, small-group setting.

Career & Internship Expo

Meet employers and learn about career and internship opportunities. Submit your resume to the iSchool Resume Book, which is shared with employers each semester.

TEC Conference (Technology. Entrepreneurship. Creativity.)

Friday, February 6, 2015 | 9:00AM – 5:00PM | Open to the public | Registration required

The second annual TEC Conference will showcase exciting speakers from across the country and engage the iSchool community to share knowledge and ideas. Network with leading information professionals and learn about some of the latest work being done in the field.

Professional Development Day

Saturday, February 7, 2015 | 8:30AM – 12:00PM | Open to all iSchool students | Registration required

Take part in a career preparation workshop, followed by one-on-one mock interviews with alumni. Practice your interviewing skills and get critical feedback on your resume.
