Publishing Pittsburgh Pictures Lecture Series

A lecture series hosted by the iSchool and the Student Chapter of the Society of American Archivists

All lectures in this series will be held in Room 501 of the Information Science Building, 135 North Bellefield Avenue. Each event will include an informal coffee with the speaker, beginning at 10:30 AM. The lecture will take place from 11:00 AM - noon.

Miriam Meislik

Miriam Meislik is Media Curator for the Archives Service Center and Lecturer in the  Archives, Preservation, & Records Management program at the School of Information Science, University of Pittsburgh.

Miriam been working in the archives profession for 16 years.  Her diverse background includes libraries, records management, museums, as well as archives.  She specializes in archiving and preserving photographic, film, video, audio, and digital materials. Miriam is also active in the Society of American Archivists where she was past chair of the Visual Materials Section and the Visual Materials Cataloging and Access Roundtable.  She also serves as photograph editor for the Archival Fundamentals Series II, published by SAA.  Miriam is the author of Historic Photos of Pittsburgh, published in 2008 by Turner Publishing.
