Justin Reese
Class of 2009, BSIS
When he enrolled as an undergrad at Pitt, Justin knew that IS was the right major for him. Why? He knew he wanted to work with people, but also to use technology. Justin eagerly took classes in a variety of subjects—human-computer interaction, interface design, and computer security among them.
“I was constantly challenged in my classes, which was a really good thing,” Justin says. “Every day, I learned to think about technology and problems in a different way. My course of study gave me the ability to use technology to make a business or corporation more successful and to use my technology skills in a creative way.”
Justin got a terrific job (just before he graduated) as a Software Engineer at Universal SmartComp in Washington, PA. He really likes his job there because he “works with a lot of new, fun technology and I’m given the freedom to develop in my own way.”
