Distinguished Alumnus Award

SIS hosted a cocktail reception during Homecoming Weekend to honor the 2007 Distinguished Alumnus Award winners.  The reception and ceremony took place on Friday, October 19, 2007 at the Pittsburgh Athletic Association.  The purpose of the event was to recognize those Alumni who were selected to receive the Distinguished and Professional Achievement awards offered by the School of Information Sciences' Alumni Society.  These Alumni winners were selected for their outstanding support and service to the University, the School and the fields information sciences.

The 2007 Distinguished Alumnus Award and Professional Achievement Award Winners are:

Distinguished Alumni Award - Cynthia K. Richey, MLS '72

Professional Achievement Award - Gladys S. Maharam, MLS '67

Professional Achievement Award - Timothy V. Kelly, D.Sc., MSIS '83, ACT '90

Winners of the Awards personify the ideals and mission of the School of Information Sciences to produce leaders in the information professions.  SIS congratulates each of the winners and thanks them for their support of the School.
