Samvith Srinivas (MSIS ’04, PhD ’10): Samvith is a User Experience Architect at Allstate Insurance, where he uses the techniques and principles of human computer interaction to design user-friendly information systems. Before joining Allstate, Samvith worked as a Designer and Researcher at MAYA Design, where he designed interactive systems for clients from a broad range of industries.  As a PhD student of the iSchool, Samvith collaborated with a wide range of researchers, including a team at The Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University and researchers in the spatial cognition community. He has served as a technical editor of Spatial Cognition and Computation-An Interdisciplinary Journal. He has also served as president of the Doctoral Guild, a voting member of the iSchool's SIS Council, and as an advisor to the International Services Advisory Committee at Pitt.

Vice President and President Elect

Jennie Crowley (MLIS '11): Jennie is the Integration Lead at WebKite, a Pittsburgh-based startup that helps businesses publish data online.  Before joining WebKite, Jennie cataloged digital media for the business school at Indiana University.  While completing her master's degree, Jennie interned at the Museum of Contemporary Art's library in Chicago, IL and the Fine Arts Visual Resources Center in Bloomington, IN.  Jennie is also a current member of the Special Libraries Association.

Past Presidents

Nancy Alstadt (MLS ’75): Nancy retired from the Bayer Library in 2009. She is currently employed as the BASIC Supply Coordinator for the Bayer Association for Science in Communities. She also works in the greenhouse at Reilly’s Summer Seat Farm and Garden Center. Nancy is a member of the Special Libraries Association and the American Chemical Society.

Joe Imbimbo (MST ’91): Joe is a Database Administrator for PPG Industries, Inc. His primary responsibility is the administration and maintenance  of  PPG’s Oracle E-business Suite data bases.  Joe has been a professional Oracle DBA since 1997 and has over 20 years of professional experience in information systems. In 2007, Joe was elected as a Director to the Oracle Applications Users' Group (OAUG) and he currently serves as President of the Pittsburgh Oracle Applications Users’ Group.
