School of Information Sciences - Alumni & Friends

A Message From Our Dean

It has been my privilege to meet so many of the iSchool’s alumni and friends during my travels in the U.S. and abroad. I’ve enjoyed hearing about your professional successes and your excitement about the School’s academic and professional programs.  Please keep in touch with me and the School, letting us know of your future undertakings by submitting an Alumni Update form.

Alumni have given back in record numbers this past year! Thanks to those who have contributed to the mission of the iSchool by volunteering at events, attending networking functions with current students, and mentoring our newest graduates.  Many of you have also made generous financial commitments to the School, which are greatly appreciated. Your contributions ensure the School’s future success by allowing us to offer scholarships to students, to re-imagine our teaching and laboratory spaces, and to create a vibrant intellectual community through lectures and events.

I hope that you will continue to support the School! To explain the importance of such giving, let me introduce Tim Schlak, a PhD alumni who is now Director of the Ramaker Library at Northwestern College in Iowa. Click on the video below to see how your gift can have a significant impact on our students and our School.
